How it works

One person sets it up. Everyone else just scores.

There are two sides to it: the organiser who runs the event, and the scorers in each group who enter the scores on the course.

For the organiser

About ten minutes for a club day or a weekend trip.

  1. Create the tripGive it a name, dates and a PIN. A 6-digit PIN is suggested, and the trip gets its own Trip ID.
  2. Add players and pick the courseEnter each player's handicap index and club. Bring a New Zealand club in with one paste from golf.co.nz, or an Australian club in with a quick copy from golf.com.au. Tees, ratings, slope and stroke index come with it.
  3. Choose the competitions and groupsAdd the standard four with one button, or set up your own trophy. Groups of up to four are made for you.
  4. Open scoring and share the detailsCopy the Trip ID and PIN into the group chat. That is all your players need.

Features

Everything a club day or a golf trip needs, and nothing to wrestle with.

Score from the course, on your own phone

Big buttons made for the back of a cart or the side of a fairway.

  • One tap for par, then plus and minus. P records a pick up.
  • Dots show the strokes you receive on each hole, and the card colours every score.
  • Each group scores for its own group, so scores never get mixed up between groups.
  • Finalise a card when it is done. The organiser can still correct anything.

Handicaps worked out the WHS way

Enter each player's handicap index once. The app does the rest for every round.

  • Course handicap from the tee's rating, slope and par.
  • Choose the handicap allowance for each round, such as 100% or 95%.
  • Strokes land on the right holes using each tee's own stroke index.
  • Half a stroke rounds up, so your card and the app agree.

Live leaderboards for every competition

Players can follow the trip from the clubhouse, the bar or the next tee.

  • Stableford, Gross, Net and Par, for individuals or teams.
  • Team scores drop the worst score or scores on each hole.
  • Over several rounds, see each round and a total. Drop each player's worst round if you like.
  • Tap any column to sort. The board refreshes by itself.

Questions

Good to know before you start.

What are the Trip ID and the PIN?

Every trip gets its own Trip ID, six letters and digits such as K7M4QX. The organiser sets a PIN, and a 6-digit one is suggested. Give scorers both. They type them on this page, choose their name, and they are in.

Do scorers need to install an app or make an account?

No. It runs in the phone's browser. Scorers only need the Trip ID and PIN.

Who can enter scores?

A scorer can enter scores for the players in their own group, and no one else's. The organiser can edit any score, even after a round is locked.

Where do the handicaps come from?

You enter each player's handicap index. The app works out the course handicap for the tee being played, using its rating, slope and par, and applies the allowance you choose for the round.

Is it only for New Zealand clubs?

No. It works for New Zealand and Australian golf clubs and social groups. Each country has its own list of clubs: New Zealand clubs come in from golf.co.nz and Australian clubs from golf.com.au, and any other course can be typed in by hand with its tees, ratings and holes.
