Tussock Golf
Tussock Golf at a glance

Golf events, scored on everyone's phone.

Tussock Golf takes the paper, the spreadsheet and the arguments out of running club days, golf trips and weekly groups. Players score on their own phones, handicaps are worked out for you, and the leaderboard updates live. There is nothing to install.

Why organisers and players like it

The things that make a golf day easier, for the person running it and for everyone playing.

Nothing to install

It runs in the phone's web browser. Players open a link or type an Event ID and PIN, and they are scoring in seconds.

Set up in about ten minutes

Create the event, add the players, pick the course and the competitions, and share the Event ID and PIN. Every golf club in New Zealand is already loaded, with its tees.

Handicaps done for you

Enter each player's handicap index once. Course handicaps, strokes on each hole and the scores are worked out the World Handicap System way, every round.

A live leaderboard

Players follow the event from the clubhouse, the bar or the next tee. Scores appear within seconds, with no spreadsheet and no adding up at the end.

Keeps working without signal

Lost reception on the back nine? Scoring carries on. Scores are kept on the phone and sent as soon as it is back online, and nothing is lost.

You stay in control

The organiser can correct any score, lock a round and confirm the results. Players only ever score for their own group.

Free for players

Anyone can score and follow an event without paying or making an account.

Know the hole before you play it

Clubs can add a hole guide: the name of each hole, a few words on how it plays and a picture, shown on the scoring screen as players reach the tee.

Fun as well as fair

Highlights call out birdies, eagles and hot streaks as they happen, and players can share photos and comments from the day.

How it works

One person sets it up. Everyone else just scores.

  1. Set up the eventGive it a name, add the players and the rounds, choose the competitions, and group the players.
  2. Share the detailsSend the Event ID and PIN, or a registration link so players can sign themselves up.
  3. Score on the dayOne person in each group scores on their phone, and the leaderboard updates for everyone.
  4. Confirm the resultsCheck the cards, lock the round and confirm. Every player is emailed their result.
